The Design Experience

Whether you DIY'd it or handed it over to us this is where you get to enjoy your masterpiece! 
If we're handling the heavy lifting, we kick you out for a day (or two), and install all the thoughtfully curated pieces that transform your home. We might schedule a photoshoot, because if you don't photograph it, did it even happen?! Then we hand the key to the palace back to it's rightful owner.

The magic begins

This is the execution phase. Procurement begins! Whether you decide to place the orders yourself or let us do all the work for you, this is where all the items are purchased. If contractors are needed, this is coordinated and monitored at this step too. Dreams are put into action to reinvent your space.

Based on the package you select, we send you an invitation for a consultation. This email will contain your next steps. During this planning phase measurements & photos of your current space are captured. We discuss the vision for what your space will be. You'll receive a mood board, a buy list, and/or a proposal based on your package selection.

We start by scheduling a discovery call. This allows us to get to know a little bit about one another. This is the perfect way for you to get a feel for our business. We'll ask some general questions about you and your hopes and dreams for the potential project. If all goes well, you can pick from the packages shown below which determines how we'll interact moving forward.

step by step, here's what to expect

Full service Style & Furnish

We're all in on this option! We start by scheduling a 1hr $200 consultation. We'll quote you a custom design fee package, you accept the quote & we make it official via letter of agreement & retainer. We create an inspiration board & budget, funds exchange, procurement begins. Lastly, install day is where we package it all up and wrap it in a shiny bow!

PACKAGE OPTION 3

Where do I sign? >

Designer for a day

Much like Option 1, you do have some homework to do with Option 2, but this package is much more involved. Locals, we get to meet up so you can show me what we're working with! After we see your space, our design team develops a plan for your space. We go through the sourcing of all items so you don't have to! Implementation for this option will be carried out by you once your items arrive.

PACKAGE OPTION 2

I'm local, let's meet! >

DIY? Yes Please! >

Through a 90 minute virtual consultation, SHD will provide tailored guidance and suggest concepts to clients. This is an ideal option for those who are located outside of AZ or those who are just needing a thought partner to elevate their space. You'll be provided a buy list for any items we agree would transform your space. Think a one room make-over for this option. You can move at your own pace on this project.

Still have additional questions?

For our 1:1 consultation you will have your buy list within 2-3 business days. The Designer for a Day you can expect your proposal in 5-7 business days after our consultation. Full service style & furnish will be outlined separately.

how long will it take to get my design?

Life happens. You will have the ability to cancel/reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before the start time. 

What if something comes up and I can't make my meeting?

It happens! You were thinking one thing, we were thinking another. Being honest and clear up front can be hard, but it's for the best. We will make up to 2 revisions without additional charges. 

What if I don't like the design?

Currently we work on projects of all sizes. One room makeover, yes please! We love a good one room before and after. 

Do you only work with large scale renovations/builds?

Absolutely! We call it our home away from home for a reason. Your business should be a space that reflects you and your brand. Let's create a space that strikes that balance.

Do you design businesses?

Let's just say...you'll have a little bit of homework. We'll send you an invitation that includes a booking form with some short questions to give us a starting point for our consultation meeting. Payment is required prior to the start of the meeting.
